Monthly Meeting – September

Our September meeting will be held at the Grove Family Library on Ragged Edge Road in Chambersburg on Thursday, September 24 at 2 p.m.

This month’s speaker is Dr. Steve Burg from Shippensburg University. He will be discussing letters sent from William Gilmore to his mother in Chambersburg during the First World War.

This event is FREE and open to the public!

Constitution Week

Did you know that September 17 – 23 is Constitution Week? This annual celebration was started by the Daughters of the American Revolution and celebrates America’s most important document. 250th Anniversary of the Black Boys Rebellion of 1765 at historic Fort Loudoun, Pennsylvania

Come out and take advantage of this free weekend event commemorating this historic rebellion in the back-country of Pennsylvania.  Learn about the 18th century, the rebellion and the archaeological history of the fort and site covering 7,000 years.  This event will be very interactive and worthwhile for all ages.
