The Franklin County Historical Society, 175 East King Street, will host the Council for the Arts Art Show during Ice Fest 2017. Art will be displayed at the Old Jail and be available to view from 10:00-4:00 on Saturday, January 28. There will be an artist reception at the jail on Sunday, January 29th at 2:00. The exhibit will remain open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until February 25.
The Franklin County Historical Society will be offering an exhibit of local artist Charles Stoner’s artwork from Saturday, January 28 to Saturday, February 25. Stoner (1906-2008) was known for his pen and ink drawings depicting historical events and scenes. On display will be framed works, as well as examples of cards and small prints.
The Historical Society is open Thursday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for visitors to view the exhibit.

Stoner Art Exhibit
Do you love the old, beautiful buildings in the Borough of Chambersburg? Participate in our Doorways of Chambersburg Scavenger Hunt!
Cost is $8 per participant and you may work in groups. Pick up your packets on Saturday, January 21st, or January 26th, 27th or 28th here at the Old Jail.
The last day answers may be turned in is when we are open on Sunday, January 29 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. You may also drop off your answers during open hours before that day.
There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. In the event that more than one team gets all of the answers correct, we will draw for the places.
